Finding Dory Makes My Heart So Happy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brenau chapter.

First off, I would like to say that it was almost impossible not to fall in love with the cute little fish who talks to whales and befriends almost anyone or anything in Finding Nemo. Now I’m super excited about the sequel that is dedicated to that spunky fish named Dory!

I experienced a lot of different emotions when I watched the trailer for Finding Dory. Of course I started out with excitement and curiosity at the beginning because let’s face it: I have been dying for this film to be produced since the beginning of its rumors.

Instantly when the stingrays mention home and you hear Dory chime along, I realized she would be making a journey to find her home. This gave me hope and happiness that she would regain what she might have lost.

Then it voices over a memory of her family saying they will never forget her, but she was worried that she would forget them. I felt a brief moment of sorrow because she had forgotten them and the fact that she had a family at all until this point. Then hope was regained as she pursued her journey.

We’ll see plenty of new and lovable characters in Finding Dory.

She runs into a friend and of course goes through adventures and obstacles that help her discover more about herself and remember things she has forgotten.

The trailer leaves me wishing I knew if she was going to be reunited with her family or if she would discover that her new family was with Nemo and Marlin. I was left with lots of wonders, but filled with excitement again to go watch the movie and capture all the answers with eager eyes.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet you can watch it here, You don’t want to miss out!
