So what’s that sparkle that’s catching all our eyes on campus? Yep, it’s the famous double finger ring appearing on girls all over campus. . Originally discovered and brought to you by HC’s own Danielle Schivekin “HC Said Knock You Out!”, it seems to have caught on, and fast! The ring, first sported on none other than fashion icon and celebrity,
Lauren Conrad, on the hit reality series, The Hills, has been seen around school engraved with either icons such as flowers or snakes, or even personalized with the wearer’s initials or name. Not sure if the ring is for you? Try it on at local stores such as Urban Outfitters or Forever 21, where you can find affordable options in all different styles an sizes. For a pricier option, head over to your favorite department store such as Bloomingdales or Neiman Marcus.

Now, some of you may be wondering about the comfort and practicality of the ring. While the wearer does get used to the sensation after a few days, there is no doubt that it somewhat immobilizes the use of two of your fingers. This handicap begs the questions: how far will you go for fashion? Is it worth going through all this trouble to look good? Although classes and frequent trips to the library may not call for couture style, there are plenty of you Her Campus readers who we know enjoy getting pampered and dressed up! This is exactly what the double finger ring does. It encourages us to take chances, however small, on a daily basis and express ourselves. As fashion designed and style icon Yves Saint Laurent said, “fashions fade, style is eternal.” So please, girls, go out, find a double finger ring or your own “out there” piece, put it on, and parade it loud and proud.
