Her Campus: Why Brandeis?

Vanessa Alamo: Brandeis’ liberal arts curriculum allows me to explore all my interests while exposing me to new subjects. I also fell in love with the genuine student body because they’re experts in their fields of passion.

HC: What are you involved in on campus?

VA: I’m artistic director for Brandeis’ only competitive hip hop crew, Kaos Kids. I also dance on the Bhangra dance team and work in Alumni Relations for Phonathon. This is my first year as a CA and I love my residents!

HC: What are some of your talents?

VA: I am a versatile dancer with training in classical ballet, west african dance, and even ballroom salsa.

HC: Single or Taken?

VA: Single and ready to mingle ;)

HC: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would you choose?

VA: Corny, Energetic, Passionate

HC: Celeb crush?

VA: James Rodriguez

HC: What’s your dream date?

VA: I want to go go-kart racing and get ice cream (cookies n’ creme) afterwards then end the day with a party on the beach

HC: Dream job?

VA: Founder & CEO of my own Arts Academy
