Things to Do in Boston to Celebrate the Holidays

1.     See a Thanksgiving Weekend game at the Garden!

What a perfect way to celebrate the holiday with sports! Get together with your family and friends and head over to the Garden to spend the holiday the right way. There are various opportunities to see your favorite local teams play:

Bruins:November 27 vs NY Rangers – 1:00pm

Celtics:November 25 vs Philadelphia- 7:30pmNovember 27 vs Washington – 7:30pm 

2.     Check out the Christmas tree and lights at Faneuil Hall Marketplace!

Despite the fact that Faneuil Hall is closed for Thanksgiving Day, it is open all weekend after Thanksgiving! Head over to Faneuil Hall to experience Blink!, a free light and sound show that transforms the whole marketplace.  With over 350,000 lights, the lightshow will be sure to illuminate the sky. There will also be numerous shops open to buy loved ones their holiday presents.  Showings are from November 21 to January 3, so be sure to check it out!

3.     The Nutcracker at the Boston Opera House!

Thanksgiving means…the first showing of The Nutcracker! What better way to bring in the holiday season with The Nutcracker! With captivating dancers, Tchaikovsky’s thrilling music, and the beauty of the Boston Opera House, you will certainly be brought into the holiday-spirit.    Opening night is the Friday after Thanksgiving, and performances continue throughout December.
