Signs You Know You’re So Over Valentine’s Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

When you were younger you probably wore red or pink for Valentine’s Day and ate a lot of chocolate.

As you got older, even dateless Valentine’s Days became a time to celebrate with your girlfriends.

But these days, all the Valentine’s Day excitement has you feeling unimpressed.

Seriously though, you forgot that Valentines Day is just around the corner.

Now that you remember, you consider making Valentine’s Day plans but then realize it’s on a Tuesday and you have class the next day.

You decide Galentine’s Day celebrations can wait until the weekend.

Then you think about at least treating yourself to some chocolate. But you decide a special trip to the C-Store in the cold just isn’t worth it.

But it’s fine because you’d rather just chill in bed anyways.

You’ve decided Netflix can be your Valentine. Or pizza. Maybe both?

And finally, you have only one thing to say to the haters of your Valentine’s Day indifference:

I am a double major in Anthropology and International/Global Studies with a minor in Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation at Brandeis University. As a native Southern Californian, I have a born passion for avocados and an innate dread of cold weather. In my free time I love cooking (with avocados of course), drawing and writing.
