From the same small speck

It seems we all evolved

If our world remembered this

Would our problems be resolved?

We’d lose the fear of one another

Form a line hand in hand

That spans across Earth, our mother

With every woman, every man

We’d preserve every creature

Protect them with our might

The sun would be our teacher

In the darkest places, we’d shine light

Respect each person equally

Drop barriers, disarm

Fix disagreements peacefully

Be bold, but bring no harm

Give to those with no benefits

Pick up what’s blowing by

Ignore the cruel and prejudiced

Think “we”, not “you,” not “I”

Remember the voiceless ones

Keep an open mind to the new

Be honest with ourselves, and run

Into the future where no love is untrue

From the same small speck

It seems we all evolved

If our world remembered this

The hate would be dissolved.
