Her Campus: Why did you choose Brandeis?

Rebcca Shi: I chose Brandeis because I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do with my life. Brandeis provides a lot of opportunities to take a variety of classes and try new things. And the people here are super nice.

HC: Describe your favorite memory at Brandeis:

RS: So far, because I plan to make many more memories! Last year my friends and I played truth or dare, and a dare was to make a prank call. My friend was amazing— he kept a straight face and did the most believable face, and the poor victim totally bought it. We all laughed so hard, my sides hurt just thinking about it right now.

HC: What activities are you involved in on campus?

RS: I’m on E-board for Platinum, Brandeis’s ONLY step team. You should check it out, it’s so much fun. I’m also part of ICF, which stands for Inter-Collegiate Fellowship. ICF has introduced me to so many awesome people, and we eat a lot of food and do cool stuff outside of campus too.

HC: What are your plans after graduation?

RS: Be happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time.

HC: Single or taken?

RS: Single

HC: First thing you notice in someone else?

RS: Everything—I am very observant ;)

HC: What are your biggest turnoffs?

RS: Arrogance and open-toed shoes.

HC: Describe yourself in three words.

RS: Strong-independent, Asian, Female

HC: Guilty pleasure?

RS: Everything on TLC

HC: Who is your celebrity crush?

RS: Dave Franco ;)

HC: What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I am a double major in Anthropology and International/Global Studies with a minor in Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation at Brandeis University. As a native Southern Californian, I have a born passion for avocados and an innate dread of cold weather. In my free time I love cooking (with avocados of course), drawing and writing.
