The Pros and Cons of Having a Younger Sibling Who Looks Older Than You

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

Cons:

  1. No matter how dressed up you get, people will always assume you’re younger
  2. Your sibling gets an un-needed confidence boost
  3. Your younger sibling might use their older appearance as blackmail against you
  4. Your friends may find your sibling attractive (which can only ever end badly)
  5. You have to explain your age A LOT

Pros:

  1. You always have someone tall to take pictures with
  2. Sometimes looking older leads to acting older
  3. You can pretend to be twins
  4. You learn how to look really good to try and appear your age
  5. You know that while they enjoy looking older now, when they get wrinkles and grey hairs first, they’ll be sorry
