Memorable Oscar’s Fashion Through the Years

With the Oscar’s coming up on Sunday, February 28th, we figured it would be appropriate to take a look at memorable Oscar’s fashion through the years. There have been highs and there have been lows, and it’s always fun to laugh at and appreciate all of the outfits that trended in the news that year. There’s always going to be nice outfits and there’s always going to be the absolutely horrifying, so let’s take a look…

 

1. Julia Roberts, 2001

 
In her velvet and satin Valentino gown, Julia Roberts made Oscar history by impressing the media and public with this outfit. 
 

2. Michelle Williams, 2006

 
Michelle Williams looked absolutely flawless in her yellow Vera Wang ensemble. 
 

3. Halle Berry, 2002

 
Known for her jaw-dropping physique, Halle Berry walked out in her sheer Elie Saab and definitely is on the list for hottest Oscar outfits.  
 

4. Gwyneth Paltrow, 1999

 
In her pink Ralph Lauren ensemble, Paltrow claimed she “just wanted to look very sweet.” Some may think it worked, others may disagree. Fashion was different in 1999, so this one is up to you to decide…
 

5. Renee Zellweger, 2001

 
Renee Zellweger was one of the fondest memories from the Oscar’s in 2001 in her vintage Jean Desses gown. 
 

6. Cameron Diaz, 2002

 
In an outfit that was very suited for the bold personality of Cameron Diaz, she definitely had all eyes on her in her floral-print Emanuel Ungaro. 
 

7. Uma Thurman, 2004

 
We thought we would end this list with a bang- Uma Thurman’s Christian Lacroix ensemble in 2004. Some may say she looked as if she was in her finest Halloween’s costume; we’re not even sure this is a dress…
