I visited Washington, D.C. over February Break and out of all the monuments and museums I visited, the Lincoln Memorial was by far my favorite. Not only is it huge, but Lincoln’s words are carved into the walls and the statue is incredibly beautiful. At the stop of the stairs that lead to the memorial is an amazing view of the city and the Washington monument.
