Want to create some cute and spooky nail polish designs for halloween? Here are some designs I created myself. You could paint all your nails with one design or mix and match them. You could also paint all your nails a solid color and then do a fun design on just your fourth nail (ring finger).

Here’s how I painted these designs:

Candy corn– This design is great if you want a subtle look. First paint your entire nail white. Next paint the bottom half of your nail yellow. Then right through the center, paint a think orange line.

Pumpkin– Paint your whole nail orange. For the details, use nail polishes with thin brushes, designs specifically for nail art. With a thin brush in dark orange (or pink as shown in the picture), paint two lines along the length of your nail, separating your nail into thirds. Then use a thin brush to paint a green jagged line at the top of your nail for leaves. Lastly, use a black polish with a thin brush to make two black triangle eyes and an squiggly “W” shape for the mouth.

Witch– Paint your nail medium blue. To draw the witch, use a black polish with a thin brush to make a small circle in the center of your nail. Paint a triangle on top of the circle for the witch’s hat, and then an oval underneath the circle for the witch’s body. Draw two short slanted lines for legs. Then make a longer slanted line right at the intersection of the oval and the two legs for the broomstick and add some smaller lines at the end of the broom for bristles. Lastly, add a white or yellow circle in the corner of your nail for the moon.

Frankenstein– Paint your whole nail green. Use a black polish with a thin brush to make a messy “M” at the cuticle of your nail. This is Frankenstein’s hair. Towards the bottom of your nail, make a slanted black line and then put three smaller perpendicular lines through it. This is his mouth. Lastly, make two white dots for the eyes and then put two smaller black dots inside the white.

Spider web– Paint your nail black. With a white polish with a thin brush, make a large “X” with two lines across your nail, one horizontal and one vertical. Then paint another “X” with two diagonal lines. Your nail now has 8 little sections. After that, draw curved lines between each section to make the spider web. Add a spider to your web by painting a black circle with 8 little legs around it.

Halloween is a great time to get creative with your nails. So start painting!
