Contestant 2: Harry Simon Kaufer

Hometown: Newton, Massachusetts
Major: Philosophy

HCB: What is you’re career ambition?
HSK: Non-fiction writer or stay-at-home dad, depending on whether my wife wants to work or not.

HCB: What makes you the best candidate for Mr. Brandeis Freshman?
HSK: I think I am the best Mr. Freshman because I am always relaxed and I always try to do my best to keep my peers relaxed, which is important in a stress-filled college environment.

HCB: Manners are always important, which gesture do you think is most essential for a man to make?
HSK: The most important gesture a man can make is to shower his lady with compliments. A man needs to notice the little things (hair, earrings, bracelets, etc…)and make sure he tells her that he notices them and that he thinks they look beautiful.

HCB: Finish the statement: What I love most about Brandeis is…?
HSK: What I love most about Brandeis is that people are judged based on their character rather than based on more superficial aspects of their lives (wealth, looks, etc…)

HCB: What one thing have you always wanted to do?
HSK: I have always wanted to hail a cab and ask the driver to take me to his favorite place and then sit back and see where I go.

HCB: What is your biggest fear?
HSK: My greatest fear is being lit on fire.

HCB: Your first kiss, good bad or ugly?
HSK: My first kiss was good. It happened during a game similar to spin-the-bottle. The kiss was not the product of love, but it was with a very pretty girl, which meant a lot more to me when I was 13 than it does now.

Contestant 3: Yuri Gloumakov

Hometown: Rishon-Letziyon, Israel
Major: Math, pre-med

HCB: What is you’re career ambition?
YG: CIA, UN something, maybe medical practitioner of sort

HCB: What makes you the best candidate for Mr. Brandeis Freshman?
YG: Sanguine, phlegmatic and caring

HCB: Manners are always important, which gesture do you think is most essential for a man to make?
YG: This doesn’t work like that, no one gesture that I say will make sense. It’s the attitude, how things are approached, the man gotta be respectful.

HCB: Finish the statement: What I love most about Brandeis is…?
YG: The amazing science curriculum

HCB: What one thing have you always wanted to do?
YG: Travel, learn languages and cultures

HCB: What is your biggest fear?
YG: Ending up lonely

HCB: Your first kiss, good bad or ugly?
YG: Quite lovely

Major: Economics

HCB: What is you’re career ambition?
JG: To be the next US President.

HCB: What makes you the best candidate for Mr. Brandeis Freshman?
JG: I am social, outgoing and friendly

HCB: Manners are always important, which gesture do you think is most essential for a man to make?
JG: Gestures are petty useless when you only make them once in a while. The best a man can do is notice when he’s stopped making nice gestures and make up for it.

HCB: Finish the statement: What I love most about Brandeis is…?
JG: Zeta Beta Tau.

HCB: What one thing have you always wanted to do?
JG: Sky Dive.

HCB: What is your biggest fear?
JG: Having a reputation that is different from my actual character.

HCB: Your first kiss, good bad or ugly?
JG: Messy, but I guess that’s to be expected =).
