Fall Concert Review: The Mowgli’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

You may have heard of the Mowgli’s from the “What’s Happening this Weekend?” email, advertising their concert this past weekend. You might also know them from their popular songs, “San Francisco” or “I’m Good.” Hopefully you went to the concert this weekend to hear this folk and indie pop band’s amazing performance. However, if you didn’t go, here are some of the highlights of their performance at Brandeis. Maybe it’ll motivate you to give the Mowgli’s a try!

Everyone sang to Im Good, one of their most popular songs

Even if you don’t have that much of an interest in the Mowgli’s, I recommend listening to “I’m Good” for a catchy, fun song. It’ll give you some positive vibes and hope on the days where you really don’t know what you’re doing with your life (hey we’ve all had those days during midterms).

Even though Im Good was great, Make it Right is another song you should listen to

Some students reported loving “Make it Right” just as much as the Mowgli’s other popular songs.  “I love “I’m Good,” but “Make it Right” has a new special place in my heart after that night!” – Ariella Assouline ‘17

Overall, Deisians had a great night at the Mowglis

“There was something mesmerizing about their performance. They set a really great mood and it was fun to dance and to be around that energy” – Gabriella Potter ’18

Moral of the story, take advantage of these student events. You can have a fun night and see a great band without having to leave campus, all at a great price!

Cassie is a sophomore at Brandeis University from Maine, double majoring in environmental studies and history. When Cassie is not combating climate change with Brandeis Climate Justice or attending a zumba class or intramural soccer game, she can be found wandering Sachar woods, taking note on the tree species there or discussing feminism with friends in upper Usdan over a quesadilla and smoothie from Curritos.
