Her Campus College Fashion Week 2014 kicked off in Boston and has 3 more shows in NYC, Chicago, and San Francisco on upcoming Saturdays to continue their tour. This was my first year at CFW and it was fantastic!
Some of my favorite things during the show included:
1) The amount of freebies given out, especially makeup. I was shocked to receive a full size of bareMinerals original foundation (a $27 value!). Her Campus had a Bare Minerals color matching station where make up artists made sure you had the correct shade, which was fantastic for first time users such as myself. I even got a free bareMinerals lip-gloss in my free goodie bag from Her Campus!
2) Another favorite was all the photos being taken by professional photographers and girls and/or guys with their camera phones. Right when you enter, Her Campus staff takes a picture of you and it gets uploaded onto the CFW Facebook page. Check out all the photos: https://www.facebook.com/HerCampusCFW
3) Simon Premium Outlets had a GIF studio set up, where they can send the GIF you make to your phone or email. Check out the GIFs: http://www.thebos.co/e/cfw-boston. They even gave us a free bag with pretzels inside, which leads me to another favorite…
4) It was really satisfying to receive Luna Bars throughout the night. It was my first time trying Luna Bars and I enjoyed the variety of flavors.
5) I love the free coupons we got for European Wax Center and boohoo and will be using them in the next few days!
6) The talent! Wow, the a capella group, Dear Abbeys, from BU was a crowd pleaser and the show starting tap dancing group was a hit!
Finally, I enjoyed the themed fashion show with clothing pieces provided by boohoo.com (affordable chic clothing!). One of the trendy pieces I adored was Windsor’s floral jumpsuit which looked super cute on her and I found out it is only $35.99, a lot cheaper than I thought!
