Her Campus: What are you involved in on campus?Carly Chernomorets: I am a Community Advisor in Schwartz Hall (the best residence hall on campus!). I’m also a co-president of Brandeis Ensemble Theatre, and I have this knack for worming my way into working on pretty much every production that goes up in the Undergraduate Theatre Collective. I’m also a Politics UDR, and I work two off-campus jobs.

HC: Describe your dream date.CC: My dream date includes watching the sunset from a rooftop and cuddling with someone cute, and probably listening to weird indie music while it’s happening.

HC: What do you look for in a partner?CC: I look for someone who can make me laugh, and someone who will stand by me even when I haven’t slept in a really long time and I have a ton of work to do and I feel like the world is going to come to an end. It also doesn’t hurt if they’re a good cuddler.

HC: Single or taken?CC: Taken. By a really great weirdo (:

HC: What are your top three pet peeves?

  1. When people touch me with their feet
  2. People that chew really loudly
  3. The patriarchy

HC: What’s the first thing you notice about someone?CC: Whether or not they make eye contact. And their butt.

HC: What’s your favorite part about being a CA?CC: I love planning super fun events for my residents, and I love creating an inclusive and welcoming community on my hall. My residents are the best!

HC: What’s something you can’t live without?CC: I can’t live without fun adventures, something to chew on, chai lattes and my super strange friends.

FavoritesFood: Any kind of vegetarian soup.Movie: The Breakfast ClubBoard Game: I love The Game of Life because it lets me pretend like I’ve got the future all planned out.Class at Brandeis: Performance and the Politics of Black Authenticity with Her Majesty Jasmine Johnson. Everyone should take a class with her!

I love watching movies, reading, writing, being a ginger, singing, dancing, acting, and attending Brandeis University.
