Bronstein Week is just around the corner!! Monday March 16 through Friday March 20, join Brandeis Student Events for a spirit week full of fun activities, performance acts, food, and tons of free giveaways. Bronstein week is an annual spirit week that has become a tradition here at Brandeis. This year’s theme is Buzzfeed; make sure to pick up Buzzfeed themed swag at events!
You can find a detailed list of events on Facebook page and on various posters around campus. Below is a short blurb about the different events going on throughout the week.
Monday
During the afternoon on Monday there will be a “Wake N Shake” outside of Usdan between the library and upper Usdan. Stop by between 12- 3 PM for munchkins, coffee, and hot chocolate if and pick up tons of Bronstein themed giveaways like coffee cup tumblers, shirts, and more!
On Monday Evening there will be an awesome comedian performing in the International Longue right above the mailroom. Jay Black has been performing stand up since 2007 and has gone to nearly 700 colleges around the nation. Join him for a fun low-key night and enjoy delicious free snacks.
Tuesday
On Tuesday in Sherman Function Hall there will be a Paint Nite! This was a huge success in the past as tickets are usually sold for $45 but are only being sold for $10. You can buy your tickets in the Brandeis Box Office. Paint Nite starts at 8 PM, there will be free snacks for everyone and hard cider provided for students over 21.
Wednesday
From 7:30-9 PM in Sherman Function Hall there will be the 3rd Annual Mr. Bronstein Pageant. Watch the finest men at Brandeis compete for the title of Mr. Brandeis. This is a fun philanthropy event that raises money to fight against cancer. Tickets are being sold for $5 or $7 at the door. Money raised goes directly to Relay for Life who is cosponsoring this event with Student Events. Watching men show off their talents while raising money for a good cause, what could be more ideal than that?
Thursday
On Thursday there will be a live band and karaoke night! Sing your favorite songs with your friends in The Stein from 8-10 PM. There will be a live band for you to sing along with along with tons of snacks including mozzarella sticks and onion rings.
There will aslo be Bar Night from 10 PM – 1 AM at Joe’s. There will be designated Bran Vans on the loop from 9:45 – 1:30 AM with no reservations required. Also hop on a Bran Van at Admissions, Rabb, or the Mods. 21+ only at this event and you must bring a Brandeis ID and government-issued ID.
Friday
To conclude the week’s festivities there will be a Stress Buster called “6 Ways to Bust your Stress” in the SCC Atrium from 1-4 PM. Unwind from the week by doing fun activities while getting papered. Make red velvet cake in a mug, decorate a mug, get a free manicure, play arcade-style basketball, and even more!!
