Her Campus: What are you involved with on campus?

Brandon Gale: I am a fellow and the head of design for Peers Educating Responsible Choices (PERC), a Study Abroad Ambassador, and on the Ethics Center Leadership Council. I’m also a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi, work for the Schuster Institute of Investigative Journalism, and will be going to Honduras with Global Brigades this winter break. I also helped with the creation and distribution of Judges Get Hammered tank tops.

HC: What was your favorite moment when you were at Brandeis?

BG: There’s a couple big ones, but a notable one was Springfest 2013. An artist I loved was performing, I was surrounded by friends, and it was just an amazing time overall that I won’t ever forget.

HC: How does it feel to have graduated?

BG: It feels a little weird, I’m not sure if it just hasn’t hit me yet or I’ve already processed it. But I feel excited for the next stage and ready for it.

HC: What are your future plans?

BG: I’m planning on law school, but decided to take a year off and find a job as a paralegal, so that I can get some practical experience in a law office before committing three more years of school and a career to the field.

HC: If there is one thing you wish you knew as a Freshman, what would it be?

BG: Probably that you should always be looking to meet new and interesting people. Spending time with the people you love and are close with will be where your best memories come from, but there’s a whole world of fascinating individuals out there, each with a story to tell. Be open to new experiences and these fascinating people will show you incredible things.

HC: Best piece of advice for incoming freshmen?

BG: College is an opportunity to reinvent yourself and become the person you want to be. Stay true to what you value, but if you do it right, you’ll be amazed at the person you’ve become at the end. Also, never miss an opportunity for a good time if you can help it.

Fun Fact: I’ve been to 37 states and over 20 countries.

Favorite Musician: Kurt Cobain

Favorite Restaurant in Waltham: Carl’s Steak Subs for binge eating, Solea for a dining experience

Spot on Campus: Next to Chums, on the bench next to the “Liberty Bell”

Sherman or Usdan: Old Usdan

Favorite Movie: Curse of being a film major, I can’t pick a specific one. I recommend everyone watch Chinatown, good one to see

Spot Off Campus: Santa Monica Beach near the pier at 2 AM. It’s empty and the ocean stretches on for eternity. It’s an amazing place to go and relax by yourself and get away

Single or Taken: Happily taken
