Being Home for Thanksgiving Break (As Told by The Office)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

Thanksgiving break is one of the most interesting and complicated vacations there is. On one hand, it is a much-needed relief where you get to go home, relax, spend time with family and friends, and of course, fill up on massive amounts of delicious food. However, it is only a mere two weeks before classes end and finals begin, and because of this, you know you have massive amounts of assignments to work on over these precious few days off. In honor of this wonderfully complicated break, here is what it is like to go home for Thanksgiving break as told by characters from The Office (since we all know some of your break will involve a Netflix binge!).

It’s Tuesday, and you finally get out of your last class and are able to leave for break.

You get home and reunite with two of the most important things: your bed and a fridge stocked full of good food.

You settle in to watch some Netflix (maybe even the Gilmore Girls revival on November 25th….just saying!)

You reunite with hometown friends who are also back for break.

Finally, the big day comes…Thanksgiving!

You fill up on delicious food.

But then, you start missing your school friends.

Overall, vacation is going pretty great and you love every minute….until you realize all the stuff you have due when you get back.

So you get to work and power through…because in a few weeks the semester will be over and you get almost a full month of total freedom!
