Although spring doesn’t always arrive in a timely fashion (it certainly won’t this year), you can still celebrate the first signs of spring starting March 20th.

1. Keep your eyes peeled for spring flowers

There’s nothing better than seeing pops of color and green on your trek to class.

(Once the snow is really gone, spend an afternoon in Boston Commons to take in the flowery scenery)

2. Invest in a pair of rain boots

Embrace mud season and be prepared to jump in, instead of over, puddles.

3. Open your window and let fresh air in

Despite how desperately air fresheners attempt to replicate it, you can only get the fresh spring scent at this time of year.

4. Wear pastels and florals

Pack away those bulky sweaters and finally wear the fun outfits you’ve been planning since January.

5. Decorate your room with bright colors

Whether it’s by raiding the $1 bins at Target or investing in bright, patterned pillows, lighten up your living area for those rainy days.

6. Flavor your water with lemon and mint

This healthy and yummy option will add a spring to your step.

7. Take in the sun

Eat meals, hang out with friends, or study outside. Catch up with your parents on the phone under the budding trees rather than in your dorm.

8. Add flowers to your room

Even if spring comes a little late and there still aren’t flowers outside, flowers indoors will provide a reminder of the warmer and sunnier days to come!
