The 8 Stages of Deciding What to Order at Lizzy’s Ice Cream

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. As if deciding whether to bran van, uber, or zipcar to Lizzy’s wasn’t enough, deciding what flavor ice cream to get requires more patience than anything else. Here’s what you might experience upon first glance at Lizzy’s ever-changing flavor menu.

1.     Alright. I know I’m in the mood for anything chocolate-oriented, so that narrows the list to…approximately 7 flavors

2.     Wait, they have a seasonal flavor. I can’t sacrifice this potentially once a year opportunity when I can get chocolate anytime

3.     Then again, I could get both flavors

4.     But then a topping might be too much for me to stomach

5.     Although crushed Oreos do look really good.

6.     Unless I get the seasonal with an Oreo topping to satisfy my chocolate craving

7.     TIME OUT- is that a banana split!?

8.     I guess the banana balances out the three scoops of ice cream, hot fudge, and additional toppings, right?

Cashier: May I take your order?

Me: Small chocolate please.
