In recent years, skincare has been my obsession, and I feel that from my last skin care article, i have upgraded to actual products. Now first and foremost less is sometimes more, which was for me until puberty hit my face and emotions. So, in the last three years of my college career, these are the products that have saved my face one or more times.Â
I will be giving number ratings on the products after I mention them. These will be based off the app Yuka which gives you a number on how good a product is by its ingredient list. So, if it has no risk or bad ingredients that could harm the skin, it’ll be a 100. If it has one risky chemical in it or something related to where it would decrease the quality of the product then the numbers will go down. Some products don’t have a barcode actually connected to them so if I don’t give a rating, just know there is not one because of this reason.Â
Cleansers
Let’s start with the actual cleaning of the face. Now I use tree hut a lot as an exfoliating cleanser. It rates a 72, or at least the particular one I have right now which is the Balancing Sugar Face Scrub. When I don’t need an exfoliating scrub, normally I will use the Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Facial Cleanser from Aveeno. This is catered toward sensitive skin and rates a perfect score of 100. When I use this product, my skin bounces right back to clean and clear. Other cleansers that I recommend trying is the BYOMA Creamy Jelly Cleanser and any cleanser with grapefruit.Â
Toner and EssenceÂ
The next thing I want to talk about is The Ordinary Glycolic Acid and Exfoliating Toner. This thing can go all over your body, and it will help with dryness, irritation, and so much more when it comes to your skin. Use it on your feet too if they are dry, it will help, but please remember to clean them first. Next is going to be the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Essence. I found this before I used the ordinary toner, and this helped my skin clap back. By that I mean when you see the videos of women placing a finger on their skin and then moving it really fast to see if their skin bounces back, this is the product that made that happen for me. Absolutely love these two.Â
SerumsÂ
My very first serum was the Elf Holy Hydration Triple Bounce Serum. This serum rates at a 79 and was a great starting serum for me. I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to get into skincare and just if you want a little extra life in your skin. The next one is the BYOMA Hydrating Serum. This one is because my skin is so dry, and this holds in moisture and adds in just that final push of hydra7tion I need. The final serum I will recommend is the 6 Peptide Skin Booster from Cosrx. This rates at an 86 and I haven’t used it long enough to say a good or bad opinion, but it has not done anything bad.Â
Eye Cream
The next product I use is the BYOMA De-puff Brighten Eye Gel. I have terrible under eye bags, and I needed this product. I don’t believe this is the holy grail of eye creams so if you have any suggestions for me, I’ll take them. This rates at a 100.Â
MoisturizerÂ
This is my favorite step, one because it’s the last step, but two because this is what isn’t the same every day. So, the main thing that will stay the same at this step is putting on a light moisturizer or a cocoa butter. The brands I will choose between for this light moisturizer are Elf, BYOMA, and or Africare. The difference comes here in the process. At nighttime, I will use the Mary Kay Timewise Age Minimize 3D Night Cream. This is the nighttime moisturizer. Then in the morning I will use the Mary Kay Timewise Age Minimize 3D Day Cream with SPF 30. If no one has told you before, then I’m telling you now, don’t ever walk out of the house without SPF on your face. Thank me later.Â
 Bonus ProductsÂ
My two new products that I will be using starting the night I am writing this is going to be some Korean skincare. I am going to be using the Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask and the Medicube Deep Vita C Capsule Cream. I will be coming back for reviews on these products later.Â
Thank you so much for reading and if you do have any suggestions or questions, feel free to let me know.Â
