Ever since the tragic passing of actor Chadwick Boseman on August 28th, 2020, one question has been on our minds: Who is going to be the next Black Panther? For those of us who spend our nights pouring over Marvel Comics, particularly Black Panther Vol. 5 #5, we knew it was time for a woman to take up the mantle of the Black Panther.

When it comes to the stereotypical action-packed films that we expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Wakanda Forever did not disappoint. Lots of fight scenes and character development was center stage for one of my favorite characters, Shuri. Not to mention the discovery of a new world, Talokan, keeping us on our toes and satisfying our sense of adventure for this film. For our women in STEM, you get lots of scenes with the scientific side of Shuri, and the mechanics that go behind some of her creations.

No spoilers, but committed fans might see a hidden character from the Marvel TV shows that let us interpret the character and her involvement with phase four of the MCU. Besides the hidden easter eggs that are a signature of Marvel, the graphics tend to be top-notch as always. The Black Panther suit makes a second appearance and the smooth CGI did not disappoint, also the Talokan people living underwater were done well. As usual, Marvel did not miss a beat.

Woman Black Panther, a new suit, weird aquatic people, what is there not to look forward to? So buy your ticket, sit back and get ready for a movie of a lifetime, Wakanda Forever.
