Hello readers. Welcome back, I hope you’re all doing well.Â
Today’s article will be going through an experience I believe ALL WOMEN should go through. Experiencing Magic Mike. Now, I am not sure if the storyline is the same, but after my experience in London, I will be going to see it again in Chicago, if possible, in order to compare the shows. That is the only reason. Now, onto the review.Â
First and foremost, this is listed as a theatre show, but this is no normal theatre show. The first big thing is that you can record this entire show, just make sure you do not have on your flash. Let me tell you, I have a whole folder in my phone with videos from this performance.Â
Walking into the theatre, it looks more like a big casino with a ton of bars. There is also a private entrance just for the show. The place is super nice, and the number of staff is incredible. Then, to get into the theatre you have to stand in this V.I.P. line with red rope and you are escorted to your seat. When you are being walked in, it is like you are in Vegas. There is an enormous stage, good music, and lights going crazy. It was like walking into a sophisticated club. There were tables, women mingling, drinks being brought out. It made you feel rich.Â
My seat was in the second row from the very front of the stage. My friend’s seat was right next to the door but also right next to the right side of the stage. We had two completely different experiences. I think the waiters were more catered to me and so were the actors when they were on stage, but when they were on the floor, they were catered to my friend. The seat my friend was sitting in was sitting right next to the entrance and exit of the stage which means she got first dibs when they came into the audience and did what they did.Â
Because I don’t want to spoil the entire show, I am just going to highlight the things that are engraved in my mind. The men. The men were built by the Gods. They felt like living sculptures, while also having options for everyone when it came to race, height, and looks. I was upset because I got hearts made and blown kisses to me by these men, but my friend got two lap dances. If you can ever actually experience this, do it, only if you consent. The reason I say this will be revealed if the show has the same story line, but also because when the show started, men came from every door in the room, from the ceilings, from the floor and started giving insane lap dances. When I say insane, that is what I mean, these were not normal lap dances. I was scared at first because it was like the night of the living dead but with hot men. Still amazing but I had a mini heart attack.Â
Next thing was the lights. Now I am a theatre major, so I was evaluating this performance while I was there, and the lights were magnificent. It wasn’t neat at all, it was messy, it was sensual, it made the men look hot. It did everything it was supposed to. I am glad this show isn’t trying to be as clean cut as a normal theatre show. There wasn’t supposed to be order when it came to the lights and the set even though they still made it syncopated and smooth with what was going on. I absolutely love how the colors and speeds changed with the different genres of songs that were being sung and or performed. Then speaking of the set, it moved and changed so much throughout the show. It was a lot of up and down, but it was seamless. On top of that, the stage was the entire room, there were banisters they were on, upper levels of the stage, areas where men will just drop down from, it was fun.Â
The final thing I want to talk about would be the choreography. I would love to marry that choreographer. The dances were perfect. All of the dances made me want to get up and prove there was a reason I was there. It was to dance, not to see men dance without proper clothing. The dances made me want to jump into the show. Also, for warning, there is a water dance and if you are in the first four or five rows, you are in the splash zone. I was not aware i was in the splash zone and it is bad. You basically get drenched in someone else’s sensual water. I was upset because I was not prepared for how much water was about to be thrown at me. It was still a great show though.Â
This concludes my review to the Magic Mike show in London. Readers, my final word of advice is to look it up on YouTube, Magic Mike London, and see if it is something you yourself would experience. I hope you enjoy the show.Â
