Here’s To Another Great Semester!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bradley U chapter.

Welcome back, Braves! To everyone that’s been with us and all of those who are just now joining: we sincerely hope that you all had a phenomenal winter break. I know personally, my break did not feel long enough at all, but I am extremely happy to be back around my friends and the vibrant vibe that is on campus. There’s something so special about everyone speed walking to class at 9am with me since we all decided it would be a great idea to wait until the last minute to brave the freezing weather.

As dreadful as the weather is becoming, it’s also beautiful, and that mentality should be applied to this upcoming semester. It may not be ideal to return to early mornings filled of classes and late nights packed with studying, but it is great to have the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people that you can make countless memories with. We’re hoping that our Her Campus chapter can help you get through the semester with ease as we transition some of our content to be more localized to Peoria! It’ll be a little bit of a slow process as we get used to aiming our content towards Peoria, so we just ask that you stick with us as we navigate to find a middle ground of localization and excitement. I know that I’m personally really excited to talk about date ideas around town that everyone should try for Valentine’s Day!

Have a great semester everyone and thank you for joining us for another semester!

I am the current president at the Her Campus at Bradley University chapter. I oversee the general operations of the chapter, run meetings, and correspond with HCHQ. Beyond Her Campus, I am also the current community service exec chair for my sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha. I have been part of the organization since my freshman year after leading a volunteer group for several years prior to college. I am also the current community service outreach member for Bradley's psychology club, Psi Chi and Psych Club. As the community service member for both, I am constantly reaching out to other organizations in the community to collaborate on creating a better overall town. I am currently a junior at Bradley University in Peoria, IL, majoring in Psychology and English - Creative Writing with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my boyfriend, spending the weekend with my family and dogs, and writing short stories. I'm a new Bachelor nation fan and have extremely strong opinions about most people on them. I also enjoy several podcasts ranging from comedy to true crime. My passion lies with volunteering and being a leader for others whenever possible.
