Hands Off!

This article is a very simple one, but no less important.

If you’re like me, to say you’re concerned about the current administration would be the understatement of the century. I believe that we are watching democracy, human rights, and critical instructions get dismantled seemingly overnight. However, giving into despair isn’t the solution.

I’ve found that the only thing that makes me feel better is action. Whether that’s spending time commiserating with friends, donating money to worthwhile causes, volunteering, and yes, protesting, doing things actively gets you out of that paralyzed, hopeless state. It’s a way to take back agency and hope.

Which is why I encourage our readers to check off the Hands Off! National Day of Action. You can read more about it here. On April 5th, there will be a nonviolent day of action across the country. People are protesting the illegal, billionaire driven power grab we are seeing with a simple message: hands off! Hands off our rights, our national parks, our education, our Medicaid, our lives. The website shows a map of different places you can get involved, and if you want to take action, I encourage you to get out April 5th.
