I’ve seen many other people share their favorite episodes from each season so I figured I’d give it a shot (this is part 2), though, as an avid Bob’s Burgers fan, I couldn’t pick just one favorite episode from each season, so I decided to choose two! I would also like to preface that I’m less familiar with the later seasons as I rewatch the beginning season more often.
Season 9
- “The Taking of Funtime One Two Three” (S9 E2)
- I absolutely love episodes with all of the kids in them, especially this one where everyone gets to use their “strengths”. I also liked the bit of Fishoeder lore to back up the fact that he owns literally everything in that town. Finally, I love when the kids are smarter than they let off and come out on top.
- “Roamin’ Bob-iday” (S9 E16)
- I love Bob’s absolute dedication to his work and how he learns that he doesn’t even really view it as work. Also, I love Patricia and am sad that she hasn’t made a return. I love how even on his day off, Bob can’t stop cooking, because he just loves it so much. I also love Bob trying to be a wingman.
Season 10
- “Land of the Loft” (S10 E7)
- Bob and Linda have friends?! Also, I have a love/hate relationship with Jen, but her episodes always crack me up. I love how in the end of the episodes where Bob and Linda go out, they realize they’re no longer in their prime but that it’s okay and in the end, they just enjoy each other’s company.
- “Now We’re Not Cooking with Gas” (S10 E8)
- A Thanksgiving episode! I love that Bob finally got the turkey he’s been wanting but I would love it more if the Belchers could have just one normal Thanksgiving. While Bob isn’t loopy in this episode, he is a little crazy, but he always comes around and sees the importance of family.
Season 11
- “Romancing the Beef” (S11 E11)
- Another holiday episode! I love that Hugo is finally trying to move on and I love the irony of the date happening in Bob and Linda’s restaurant. This episode gives me the vibes of when the kids ran a casino in the basement. I also love how we see Tina stick to her virtues at Tami’s party.
- “Mr .Lonely Farts” (S11 E14)
- A KEN EPISODE!!! I love Ken so much and I love that we’re seeing some character progression in Gene. With him being the middle child, sometimes he can be overlooked so I loved this episode, and this song is stupidly catchy.
Season 12
- “Loft in Bedslation” (S12 E7)
- The little backstory we get on how Linda was raised is amazing and I would love to see more, I think it could help explain Gale a bit. My favorite part of this episode is the continuity in the rest of the show. Louise having something more personal (given that her room is a closet) is perfect and I love how the girls come together with girl power! I also love the DnD reference in the sub-plot!
- “Ancient Misbehavin’” (S12 E15)
- The trio we never expected! I love a Louise centered episode and this one was super cute. The moral dilemmas between characters are amazing and I would love to see more of this trio! I love how Louise never fully loses her moral compass and comes clean in the end.
Season 13
- “The Plight Before Christmas” (S13 E10)
- SOBBING. SOBBING. SOBBING.
- “Amelia” (S13 E22)
- I loved the history lesson in this episode, and I loved the female power representation. Louise and Amelia Earhart just go so well together. I overall love the vibe of this episode and love that Linda is a mom no matter what.
Season 14
- “The Amazing Rudy” (S14 E)
- As a child of divorce, this episode hits home. I can relate to what Rudy is going through, and I also always love a Rudy episode. The fact that the Belcher’s treat him as their own never fails to make me tear up. I ALSO LOVE RUDY AND LOUISE’S FRIENDSHIP!
- “The Big Stieblitzki” (S14 E14)
- Another Rudy centered episode! Once again touching on divorce but showing the softer sides where two people can co-parent happily. I love how in the end Rudy’s dad is an amazing example of caring for someone no matter what and I love that his love life might be going somewhere!
Season 15
- “For Whom the Doll Toes” (S15 E4)
- This whole concept was so cool to me. I loved it even more on my second watch-through. I love the use of other locations and overall, the whole concept is just fascinating to me. I love how they did this episode.
- “Insomnibob” (S15 E22)
- Loopy Bob. I was worried a bit that Bob might lose his cooking spark but in the end, he pulled through and that’s all that matters to me.
Season 16
- “Grand Pre-Pre-Pre-Opening [300th episode]” (S16 E1)
- THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF ALL TIME. I LOVE THE BACKSTORY TO THE BEGINNING OF THE RESTAURANT AND HOW WE LEARN MORE ABOUT LINDA. I ALSO LOVE BABY TINA AND WATCHING BOB BECOME A FATHER.
- “The Twinnening [Halloween]” (S16 E3)
- (As of writing this, this is the latest episode) I love a Teddy focused episode and would love to see the twins again. I also appreciate Tina being able to be the babysitter and how the kids didn’t take advantage of it this time. I also love a CAKE comeback and would love to see Bob’s love for them again.
