Bob’s Burgers has been my comfort show for the past two years, and I’ve watched it more times than I can count, some would say I’m obsessed, and I need to share my love of this show with others. I’ve seen many other people share their favorite episodes from each season so I figured I’d give it a shot, though, as an avid Bob’s Burgers fan, I couldn’t pick just one favorite episode from each season, so I decided to choose two.

Season 1

  • “Human Flesh” (S1 E1)
    • The first ever episode! This episode holds such a special place in my heart. The beginning seasons were a different bread entirely, in the best way possible. I can quote this whole episode by heart. The humor is on another level, and I miss it so much in the newer seasons. Overall, a fantastic first start to show the family dynamics and show the unhinged belcher family.
  • “Sacred Cow” (S1 E3)
    • Moo-Lisa! My queen! I loved the scandals that the Belchers would get into in the beginning seasons. I also love loopy/manic bob, though the final scene with Moolisa was definitely weird for sure. Once again, I just love the vibes of the earlier seasons so much.

Season 2

  • “The Belchies” (S2 E1)
    • I absolutely love the sarcasm in this episode, and we get to see the belcher children’s relationship shine. I love Andy and Ollie so much. I especially love the old songs a lot and in this episode in particular, I loved how at the end we get to see that it wasn’t all a myth.
  • “Synchronized Swimming” (S2 E3)
    • In this episode we really get to see the kids and Linda’s dynamic. I love how she tried so hard to be stubborn and leave them to their own devices but in the end, she pulled through and helped them. Another episode with Andy and Ollie so I love that too!

Season 3

  • “Bob Fires the Kids” (S3 E3)
    • We get some background on Bob’s life even though there’re some continuity issues with this storyline later in the show. I loved the whole weed farm aspect where everyone was clueless, and I loved having Mickey back and knowing he’s still a bank robber at heart! What I also really love about this episode is that we see the difference between how Bob was raised and how he raises the kids, I think Bob and Linda are amazing parents.
  • “An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal” (S3 E5)
    • PASS THE CRANBERRY SAUCE! I can’t express how much I love loopy Bob. I also love the episodes with Mr. Fishoeder and how you can tell he really loves the Belchers. Also love that love that Bob and Linda have for each other. Bonus points for a holiday episode!

Season 4

  • “A River Runs Through Bob” (S4 E1)
    • Once again, you can never go wrong with loopy Bob. I loved seeing how hard Bob and Linda tried to get back to the kids and the irony that in the end the kids saved them. I also loved the apocalyptic journey the kids went through.
  • “I Get Psy-chic Out of You” (S4 E16)
    • I truly love Linda centered episodes and would love to see more. I love how in the end we found out everything was just guessing skills but that she actually caught the bandit without meaning to. I also love a little ‘Uncle Teddy’ moment.

Season 5

  • “Dawn of the Peck” (S5 E4)
    • Holiday episode again! I’m a sucker for the thanksgiving ones. I’m realizing how often we get loop Bob but I’m not complaining. I loved the group of the Belchers, Rudy, the twins, Teddy, and Mickey and would love to see more of them together. The ending with the pecking order was a beautiful closure.
  • “Housetrap” (S5 E19)
    • LOOPY BOB. I can’t get enough. Always a fan of Teddy episodes and loved him finally getting a romance opportunity. I do appreciate that Helen is a recurring character as well, it makes the episode feel extra important. Finally, I loved the mystery at the end, did she do it or not?

Season 6

  • “The Hauntening” (S6 E3)
    • Holiday episode! Bonus for it being a Louise episode as well. Louise always has a hard exterior and so it was nice to see that broken for a bit. The family goes to such lengths to make each other happy, and I love it so much. Also, a fan of the Mort and Teddy duo.
  • “Pro Tiki/Con Tiki” (S6 E15)
    • Bob has friends?!? Overall, this episode just feels very cozy to me because it shows how close of a family, they all are. I really appreciate how dedicated Bob is to his craft and that no matter what he just wants to make a good burger.

Season 7

  • “Sea Me Now” (S7 E2)
    • Teddy’s love life is such a wreck, and I feel so bad for him, though I do love the Teddy lore. I actually really hate his ex-wife, and I love how in the end Linda shows Teddy that he can just be happy (I absolutely love this line). I love a fixer-upper Teddy moment. (I also love the mention of the caffrey name from season 2).
  • “Teen-a Witch” (S7 E3)
    • A Tina focused episode is always appreciated and I LOVE Mr. Ambrose so much! The witch aspect was a cool touch, and I love how no matter what Tina always goes back to her quirky self.

Season 8

  • “Brunchsquatch” (S8 E1)
    • I LOVE THE DIFFERENT ART STYLES IN THIS EPISODE! At first, I wasn’t a fan because it was different, but I’ve come to love it for that exact reason. I love how connected to its fan base Bob’s Burgers is. I also like the storyline a lot and we get Fishoeder lore!
  • “The Silence of the Louise” (S8 E2)
    • I have a love/hate relationship with Millie, but I loved seeing how far her obsession has gone. I also loved how even though it was a Louise focused episode; we got Gene and Tina literally in the background. It’s cool seeing the complex dynamic between Louise and Millie and how you can tell that Louise does like being her friend at times. Also, a fan of the teacher hated this episode.
