The holiday season is now in full swing, so let’s hop right into winter and Christmas. This list has a mix of non-Christmas and Christmas movies that are all worth a watch. So when you finally snuggle up and want to watch something this winter, instead of scrolling for hours, pick a movie on this list.

“The SANTA CLAUSE” (1994)

This is a classic Disney Christmas movie. I feel everyone needs to watch this movie at least once a year. I’ve loved this movie since I was a kid — and if I’m being honest — it took me years to realize Santa Clause is not the actual spelling of Santa Claus. I will admit the older I get, the more annoyed I am at Tim Allen’s character Scott Calvin because he’s just so cocky it hurts. Overall though, this movie is a classic and I love to watch it every year.

“OLIVE, The OTHER REINDEER” (1999)

This is another movie I’ve enjoyed since I was a kid, and it’s probably because of the cute and unique art style of the movie. Now, a little disclaimer, Drew Barrymore’s voice acting is far from great, but this movie is still worth a watch. This movie is also less than 50 minutes, which makes it the perfect movie to watch between classes or finals this winter.

“aBOUT fATE” (2022)

This is a great movie to watch with your friends. This rom-com is far from perfect, but there are certain scenes that just make this movie worth a watch. It’s cheesy, cute and sometimes funny. What else could you want? Also, whoever cast Thomas Mann as one of the leads, thank you.

“Fargo” (1996)

Is “Fargo” worth a watch this winter? You betcha! This movie has such a fun cast and a hilariously unpredictable plot. The directing and visuals are amazing, and if this movie doesn’t get you in the mood for winter, nothing will. Also, Marge and Norm are 100% couple goals in this movie.

“The Day After Tomorrow” (2004)

You can’t have winter without snow, and trust me, there’s a lot of snow in this movie. Besides snow, there’s plenty of action and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Also, this movie shows the importance of family — so if you think about it — it’s kind of like a Christmas movie.
