Elle Fanning, starring in the new film, Super 8, is the first young woman I have chosen to feature in my series, “Women at Work.” Many of us recognize her famous older sister, Dakota Fanning, who made a name for herself as one of Hollywood’s youngest successful female actresses. Her little sister is following closely in her footsteps. Elle is just 13 years old and is quickly becoming one of today’s most sought after talents.  This year, she was nominated for the Young Hollywood film actress of the year award and won.

Evidently, I am not the only one amazed by Elle’s newly found star status. I recently saw a posting on stylecaster.com entitled, “Fact: Elle Fanning Is on the Path To Style Icon Status,” which discusses her abundance of upcoming professional endeavors. I have a sneaking suspicion that Elle will soon become even more familiar in the public eye not only as a result of her upcoming movies, but also because of her increasing magazine shoots showcasing her fashionable style choices.

For all that she has accomplished at the ripe old age of 13, I think she deserves even more recognition. Look for Elle in the highly anticipated upcoming movies, Twixt Now and Sunrise, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and We Bought a Zoo, directed by Cameron Crowe. I’m confident that she will not disappoint!
