Last we mentioned that bold colors are in this season so this week we wanted to show you people on campus that implemented bold colors to create BOLD outfits. This week we searched all around campus to find people who didnât fall into the norm of Bowdoin fashion. In our search we stumbled upon Peter Griesmer â12. Peter recently studied abroad in Denmark and brought back some interesting souvenirs with him, one of which being his style. Peter explains âthe first word anybody use to refer to me in these shorts was boldâ. Â
George: What obviously makes Peterâs outfit bold are his gray green shorts. Alone the shorts can be quite risky but Peter does an excellent job by balancing the short shorts with the orange V-neck sweater and collared striped shirt. Remember, Just a Taste.
Suggestion: In my opinion, the outfit as a whole feels disjointed. The pastel colors on the lower half and the bright colors on the top donât mix together. There needs to be marriage between the two.  I would have paired the shorts with a simple graphic tee with a cardigan or blazer. Great job Peter!
Tasha: First off I want to commend Peter for his brave efforts. Most men arenât bold enough to pull these shorts off. I love his confidence in his personal style and his willingness to mix bright colors that donât necessarily match. I love the mix of playfulness and seriousness the outfit suggest. He sort of reminds me of the cool teacher at school.
Suggestion: I love the bright orange sweater but if you mix too many contrasting colors it could be distracting to the eyes. If I were Peter, I would ditch the sweater and collard shirt for a bright graphic tee. Iâm still a fan of his original outfit too.

Remember guys our opinions are just OUR opinions. Fashion is boundless and shouldnât be restricted by guidelines. Â Â In the words of the great John Fairchild, âstyle is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after styleâ. As long as you have confidence, whatever you wear can be fashionable.

Xoxo,
