It’s that time of year when we’re all heading home for the the holidays! While some of us having longer commutes than others, there is nothing worse than a long carride with bad music, espeically if you’re carpooling with others. Our HC staff has contributed some of their favorite roadtrip songs to create an awesome playlist that will have something for everyone and have you singing out loud! Check out our favorite songs on HC Bloomsburg’s 8tracks and read below why we love them!

Kathryn Saulinas: Everyone loves Lorde’s Royals but I snagged her single Ribs when it was free on iTunes and it’s so perfect to jam with the windows rolled down. Pompeii is one of my favorites because there is no way you can sit still and not sing out-loud when it’s on!

Jaclyn Beasley:  It’s always nice to think about being somewhere where it’s Sunny and 75 when really its 45. Crazy Beautiful is such a fun song to sing and dance to!

Ali Murphy: I am obsessed with What Now By Rihanna. Every time I hear it I get the chills, her voice is amazing! Also, if you liked Royals then you will love Team by Lorde, it’s so upbeat and different!

Melissa Trabbold: Breathe is such a “feel good song.” It always makes me want to sing along at the chorus of the song as loud as I can.  Paper Doll is one of my favorite John Mayer songs. His voice is so soothing, and this song just puts me at ease – such a relaxing song to enjoy on any car ride!

Devin Kuefner: Timber has a great beat and always makes me want to dance. Country always puts me in the best mood and Friday Night is the perfect windows down, driving song.

Danielle Clouser:  Howlin’ for You is definitely a Friday night pre-game song that gets you pumped! Sweater Weather is a great winter song that makes you wanna stay inside on a snowy night and cuddle with some hot cocoa.

Nicole Sanderson: Brave by Sara Bareilles is so inspirational and has such a great musical flow to it that you can listen to over and over again. Treasure by Bruno Mars is so sweet and sincere that you cant help but want to learn the words to it.

Trisha Huff: Young and Beautiful is a bit slower, but everyone needs that one feel good love song. Counting Stars is really sweet and upbeat.

Kendall Ferraro: The two songs I love and think would be great for a road trip are Roar by Katy Perry and Clarity (feat. Foxes) by Zedd

Kaity Andrey: I seriously cannot get enough of White Walls! Every time I hear it, it puts me in the best mood. When the chorus plays, I SCREAM along and throw my hands up, no matter where I am. American Girl is my favorite pump-up, feel-good song. Nothing can bring me down when I’m singing along to this in my car!

Alisa Evans: I just can’t listen to Beware by Big Sean song enough times! I find myself singing it at random times, even if I haven’t listened to it for days. You have no choice but to get up and dance to this beat and the lyrics will make any girl nod her head in agreement. We Can’t Stop is so catchy, you can’t help but sing along. Even the people who don’t support Miley’s recent lifestyle change find themselves tapping their foot when this party song comes on.

Cassandra Mike:  Midnight City by M83 has a fantastic beat and I can’t enough of 80’s retro-style synth- pop. Weezer’s Undone always makes me laugh no matter how bad my day is and it’s fun to sing.
