Make the most of those long library study sessions by making sure you pack all the necessities.

Hot coffee. You could literally spend a fortune on Starbucks during Finals Week and we’re going to need that money for Christmas gifts soon. Bring your own thermos of coffee and then take advantage of the 50 cent refills from Starbucks. Your wallet will thank you.

Headphones.Don’t be that person. You know, the one who has to watch a video for your project but doesn’t have headphones so everyone on your floor can hear! Plus, listening to music can help you focus if you need that extra bit of concentration or it can give you a great energy boost if you’re looking to take a break.

Planner.Going to the library is a great start to a productive day but if you’re sitting at a computer, you could be just as susceptible to getting lost in the vortex that is the internet. Make sure you bring your planner or a list of things you need to accomplish. Keep it in sight to help you stay focused on your tasks and avoid too much time checking social media.

Charger.duh.

Snacks.Packing a lunch may seem like you’re back in elementary school but it could save you major time and money during your library binge. Include easy to eat, no mess items like yogurt, granola bars, fruit, and trail mix.

Advil.Staring at a computer screen can take a toll on your eyes and eventually give you a headache. But you don’t want to interrupt your flow writing that paper with a nap or a trip back home and risking your coveted cubby in the library. Grab a water bottle and two Advil to beat your headache and keep your productivity going.

Sweatshirt.Hauling yourself and 20 lb. backpack up four flights of steps to get to your favorite cubby location will definitely have you short of breath and wanting to strip off your layers, but once you cool off, you’re going to want that sweatshirt. If not, you can use it to make your chair a little more comfy.

Textbooks. This may seem obvious but you won’t realize just how important a textbook is until you don’t have it. Make sure to bring all the materials you could possibly need because there’s nothing that can halt your productivity than not having the right book to quote from or clarify a definition.

Happy studying, collegiettes!
