Her Campus: What is your role in the Student Athletic Advisement Committee for the football team?Brody Myers:  I am one of two representatives for the football team, and my job is to take any problems or ideas to the committee that could improve athletics as a whole here at Bloomsburg University.

HC: How did you become involved with this committee?BM:  I was selected by my coach.

HC: What is the purpose of the SAAC?BM:  Our purpose is to give athletes a chance to get involved in the community, to help raise money for different charities, with Make-A-Wish as our main one, and to improve athletics and life for student athletes here at Bloomsburg.

HC: What would you consider to be the most profound event you’ve been involved in through SAAC?BM:  We have raised lots of money for Make-A-Wish through various events, but I helped coordinate last year’s dodge ball, which turned out to be one of our biggest events.

HC: Are you involved with any other activities on campus other than football and SAAC?BM:  Last year I was involved in the Bloomsburg Football reading program with Central Columbia Elementary.

HC: What do you like most about being a part of Bloomsburg’s football team?BM:  I love having the opportunity to play a sport that I love with some of my best buddies for a winning program.

HC: Now that Spring ball is approaching, would you say you have more free time than during the regular football season?BM: Yeah, for sure. The spring is a lot of work and it definitely keeps you busy, but it’s not nearly the same time commitment as during the fall.

HC: What do you intend to do with your ‘Business Education’ major after graduating?BM:  I would love to be a high school teacher, teaching business classes.

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?BM:  I hope to be teaching at the high school level. Hopefully I am happily married to the woman of my dreams, and also hope to be coaching high school football.
