Her Campus: What on- campus activities are you involved in?Alix Abraham: I am an active member of the sorority Pixies (Phi Iota Chi), and I am also captain on the Bloomsburg University Cheerleading Team.

HC: What do you enjoy most about your major?AA: I really love my classes and all of my professors. I knew I wanted to come to Bloomsburg because of its fantastic education program, and I am also really glad I made that decision because my professors have really prepared me for student teaching next semester. I also really enjoy the real-world experience of helping children, especially those with special needs.

HC: What is one of your most memorable moments at Bloomsburg?AA: One of my most memorable moments was being selected to be on the Bloomsburg Cheerleading Team and being captain for my senior year. Our school has a lot of school spirit and our sports teams have been excellent during my stay at Bloomsburg. I’m so glad to be apart of our efforts to build spirit for Bloomsburg University.

HC: What was your reaction to being nominated as a Homecoming Queen candidate?AA: I was so happy that my sorority decided to nominate me! I think all of the seniors in my sorority are great candidates, so I feel really honored that they nominated me. I am so glad to be a part of Pixies.

HC: If you could give freshman any advice, what would it be?AA: Get actively involved in Bloomsburg, there are so many activities to explore. Most importantly go to class! Get to know your professors, because they can really help you. I wish I got to know my professors more then I did. Also, stay fit! Use the gym, that’s what it’s there for.

HC: Where do you see yourself in ten years, professionally and personally?AA: I would like to live in Pennsylvania or Maryland, hopefully be teaching in a special education classroom in an elementary school. I also hope to have a family of my own!
