Meryll Streep shared an innocent bump and grind with Pharrell Williams, Jennifer Lawrence humoured us and swapped last years infamous trip with a slip on the red carpet this year, and just when we thought we couldn’t love her any more, Ellen DeGeneres gave out pizza mid-show…now that’s what I call a party!

Whilst I am disappointed at myself for not yet having watched 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle or Gravity (I know, rubbish!), I was not disappointed by the celebrity styles I saw last Sunday night. I am in absolute awe of the glamorous gowns flaunted, the flawless hair do’s that remained so all night, and the array of sparkly jewels showcased. She did herself proud winning the award for best supporting actress and Lupita Nyong’o did not fail to make style lovers everywhere turn green with envy at her powder blue Prada gown – simply stunning.

Old Hollywood Glamour never does get old and Kate Hudson rocked the part with an elegant Versace dress and her classic 1940s side swept wavy hairstyle.

Opting for a similar 40s inspired look, Sandra Bullock oozed glamour as she made her way down the red carpet in Alexander McQueen.

Emma Watson never fails to impress on the red carpet and this year she looked effortlessly chic in her Vera Wang metallic ensemble. She kept her look simple with minimal jewellery, a messy hair up do and striking red lips to suit her sleek style.

Who would ever believe that Anne Hathaway could have played the role of the ugly duckling in the princess diaries…

The party-style silver encrusted detailing on Hathaway’s Gucci gown won me over. The actress looked as fabulous as ever in her dress featuring a sexy slit, bare back and teamed with a black patent clutch, she kept her look both sassy and smart.
