IT’S THE FIRST TIME IT’S HAPPENING IN 125 YEARS. A once in a lifetime extravaganza. It won’t happen again for another 79,000. The rumors are true: the first night of Chaukah this year falls on the same night as Thanksgiving!!! If you’re one of the nearly 4,000 Jewish students at this school, then you’re probably kvelling like I am. If you’re not, well who doesn’t like latkes and doughnuts? This holiday is a reason to celebrate-and here are a few ways to have the perfect meal to go with your celebration!
TABLE DECOR:
Go all out-in terms of both holidays! A menorah is necessary for your time. So is fun Chanukah gelt, confetti and dreidels. Anything blue, white, silver or sparkly will do! Don’t forget to say the three blessings :) Onto Thanksgiving: anything festive will work. Warm fall colors, pumpkins, cornucopias, flowers, candles, et cetera. Go with a neutral tablecloth to showcase the colorful decorations of both holidays!
