Summer is so close we can taste it…as the weather warms up, here are some casual beach hair styles to try out!

1. The oh-so-perfect “Beach Waves“.  If you were blessed with straight hair, one way to try and get this casual look is buying sea salt and spraying it in your hair, then lightly scrunching it with some mousse. If that doesn’t work, try loosely braiding it the night before and taking it out the next day.

2. Bohemia isn’t dead! If the beach waves alone are a little too basic, try throwing some small braids into the mix. Subtle, but stylish.

3. Loose braid or fishtail. Nothing screams beach like a braid. It’s perfect for keeping your “do” off your face but still looking fresh.

4. Side ponytail twist. If you’re feeling adventurous, try mixing some statements together. Split your hair into two sections. Pull to one side, twist towards each other, and wrap with a ponytail holder.

5. Messy low pony. For many, this is the classic “I look like I just threw this together but it took 30 minutes to get it to fall right”.

6. Do the twist. If you have color treated hair that you don’t want damaged by salt or sun, simply twist into knots at the nape of your neck and hold together with bobbypins. *Works best on short to medium length hair.

7. Sleek ballerina. Nothing like a neat bun right on the top of your head (a la Miley Cyrus).

8. The Little Mermaid. Channel your inner Ariel. Before going with a simple bun, try twisting chunks of hair towards the back and then wrapping it into a bun. Goddess-like.

8. Don’t forget the accessories. Sometimes a nice headband or scarf can make a simple look pop.

9. Hat envy. Tame your mane from the windy shore or add some protection from the sun.

10. Screw it! Having one of those days where no matter what you try, nothing looks the way you want it to? Don’t want your newly blonde do getting too light? Or simply don’t want to get your pretty hair wet? Find a thin scarf and lock those locks away.

No matter what kind of hair you have or which look you choose…ROCK IT!
