Campus Cutie: Alumna edition!

1) Name: Amanda Ciccone

2) Graduation year: 2011 (I’m old)

3) Major: Economics

4) Hometown: Suffern, NY

5) Three words to describe yourself: Cheerful, outgoing, and goofy

6) What is your personal superpower: Optimism

7) Where did you see yourself after graduation while in school and where are you actually now: I wanted to be a teacher and a swim coach. It’s funny how things change. After Bing, I went straight to law school. My hope is to be an attorney in nonprofit law and trusts and estates. I still want to be a coach of some sort (swimming or running).

8) Favorite Binghamton memory: Oh boy, where do I start? I’d have to say Spring Fling

9) If you were a fruit which one would you be and why: Strawberries are my favorite fruit, but I’d have to say I’d be a banana. I might come across as having a tough skin, but I’m really a mush. Bananas are versatile, and healthy (can be used in desserts or for a healthy snack). Not only does my skin turn more yellow than brown when I tan, yellow is associated with sunshine, joy and happiness! Oh, and I love to hang around, and get into a little monkey business here and there.

10) Mythical creature you want to exist: Mermaids!

11) Best thing about being a Binghamton alum: There’s something about Binghamton people. They stick together and look out for one another. Whenever I meet a Binghamton Alum, whether they’re out for one year or 25 years, there’s an instant bond and sense of camaraderie.

12) Life philosophy: Smile

She was the Binghamton University Campus Correspondent Spring 2015-Spring 2016. She started writing for Her Campus second semester Freshman year and has loved it ever since! She is now a Binghamton University graduate with a degree in English and minor in History. She is an enthusiastic writer and reader, obsessed with social media, traveling, and ending misogyny. Her two great loves are Harry Potter marathons and sampling cheese. She is excited by the prospect of new challenges and can't wait to dive in and get her hands dirty.
