The (Wild) Amanda Show: Version 2.0

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

Bring out the dancing, uh, handcuffs?

We all remember the young, sweet Amanda Bynes and who could forget the show all of us learned to love: The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon. However, this time around, the show may have the same lead character– with the exception of being slightly addicted to drugs, engaged to a 19 year old, and repeated offenses of drinking while driving.

Although everyone likes to have his or her fair share of fun, it seems Bynes is pushing ‘fun’ to the limit.  Last year the public first saw Amanda Bynes spinning out of control when she went on multiple twitter rants. The child star came under the public eye out of nowhere with her vulgar and outrageous twitter, but was soon stopped and put in rehab by parents and friends. She attended FIDM (Fashion institute of Design and Merchandising) in California and was believed to be doing much better.

But soon enough, she reactivated that twitter account and jumped back on the rollercoaster to crazy. Bynes, 28,  is now claiming she is engaged to a 19 year old named Caleb, whom she met in rehab. There have also been sightings of her acting “very strange” in the airport and was seen leaving with a bandage on her face. She has also taken to twitter again and someone better stop her fast. She’s tweeting things like, “hop off ma d***” and making statements that she “is not crazy” and the tabloids “continue to write lies about her”.  After being caught driving while intoxicated twice, Bynes is still pursuing the same dark path she led about a year ago.

Well, whether our childhood idol really is crazy or not, we’ll never know, but one thing is for sure, Amanda definitely needs help fast and maybe a weaker WIFI signal.
