Are you signed up for Relay for Life at Bentley University?  If not, I am going to give you 8 AMAZING reasons why you should register as soon as possible!

1. It’s for a great cause!

Each participant that registers pays $15 which goes to fund cancer research and patient care programs. The earlier you register, the earlier you can start fundraising!

2. Relay is super fun!

If you’ve never attended a Relay for Life Event, it has a lot of fun activities!  Some of my personal favorites at Bentley are the raffles, doing the football team’s makeup, and corn hole!

3. The price goes up the day of Relay

The reason that there is such a big push for early registration is that it costs more money the day of Relay if you choose to come.  Save some money and register today!

4. If you raise $100, you get first dibs on food AND a free t-shirt!

This reason is especially enticing to me.  The food is always so good because we get catering from Wegman’s, Chipotle, Bertucci’s, and more!!!  You get to be first in line, and do not have to pay for the food. Additionally, a free t-shirt?! Say less.

5. It’s a good opportunity to get involved on campus!

Interested in becoming more involved on campus, but not quite sure how?  Getting involved with Relay for Life is a very humbling, eye-opening experience in which you can help make a difference.  (TIP: Raising money is super easy when you post your fundraiser to Facebook!)

6. Cancer affects everyone.

On a more serious note, cancer is a horrible disease that affects millions of people daily.  That includes patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends. Registering for Relay is doing your part to help cure this nasty disease that hurts too many people.

7. Little commitment!

Once you register for Relay, there are no major commitments.  Obviously fundraising and attendance at Relay is encouraged, but it’s not mandatory.  And if you and your friends decide to attend Relay last minute, you are already registered and do not have to pay to enter!

8. Winning team!

The teams in each category who raise the most money win a pizza party at Relay!  Here is where my competitive side comes out…

On that note, I hope you see why you should register for Bentley’s Relay for Life and I hope to see you at Relay for Life on March 27th!!!
