The other day I was on Instagram and came across something called the “GPS Theory.”
I had never heard of it before, but I actually love it.
Basically, it explains that when you’re using a GPS and you take a wrong turn or go the wrong way, it still reroutes for you. It will get you to your destination no matter what.
A GPS doesn’t care if you take the longer route to your friend’s house or miss an exit on the highway… It will always recalculate and find a way forward to get you where you’re meant to go.
& life works the same way.Â
We all feel like we have a destination or a goal — whether it’s securing a full-time job after graduation or becoming the greatest soccer player of all time.
We often feel pressure to follow “society’s” steps perfectly, checking every box on the way to our end goal.
But we also have to acknowledge the wrong turns and missed exits, the decisions that may slow us down but ultimately still guide us toward where we’re meant to be. Just like a GPS, we all have a destination. And if we miss a turn, we have to be willing to reroute, keep going, and never let a mistake or detour stop us from getting to our final destination.
