Don’t call me a grandma, but our generation can’t do anything that isn’t on our phones. Sometimes, we need to unplug and do more things that make us forget to check our phones! Here are some things I love to do that help me disconnect, but might sound kind of lame… don’t knock it ‘til you try it!
- Do a puzzle – there’s tons of types for every puzzler-level out there!
- Paint/draw/color (try an adult coloring book, or use free coloring pages and crayons from the Student Center!)
- Clean! I love the satisfaction I get after finishing a deep clean!
- Read a book that’s been on your must-read list
- Bake something using a dorm-friendly recipe
- Organize your clothes and closet – maybe you’ll find something you haven’t worn in a while!
- Give yourself a mani-pedi
- Go for a walk – you can even try listening to a “hot girl walk” playlist to channel your inner model!
- Try a new workout, and even invite a friend to the Dana Center!
- Attend some events on campus – CampusGroups is your friend here!
