Trend Forecast: Colors That Keep On Coming

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

Is it just me or do our wardrobe colors-of-the-moment change almost as often as night turns to day?  It seems like only weeks have passed since I put the finishing touches on my fall/winter 2012 wardrobe with those last-minute forest green, cobalt blue, and black necessity purchases and already, they’re being pushed to the back of my fashion-focused mind.

The spring fashions have started popping up everywhere: from the newly redecorated shelves of our favorite stores to the most recently posted articles on our go-to blogs.  This may bring an initial bit of anxiety to those who prefer the characteristically deep hues of fall fashion, but I am here to tell you something profound: this spring, you don’t have to say goodbye to your beloved fall colors.  Keep these recent fall favorites at the top of your drawers and front of your mind because they are about to have a prominent place in your upcoming spring wardrobe.

Fabsugar.com, one of my favorite trend reporters, compiled the most popular colors of the spring/summer 2013 season and as the pictures will prove, this spring’s color palette is looking surprisingly fierce.  Put those head-to-toe pastel looks of last spring on pause and welcome the newest mix of rich (cobalt blue, black, metallic silver) and vibrant (bright orange, mustard yellow, citron green, hot pink, and crisp white) as we look to the months ahead.

Have a look below at some of my favorite spring/summer 2013 looks.  How do you feel about the upcoming color trends?  Will you miss the subtler neutral-pastel palette or are you excited to try some of these bolder colors ?  Either way, I hope you are inspired by these bold looks (and your fall wardrobe) for the season ahead!
