The holiday season is a time where family and friends gather to celebrate and be with one another. Thanksgiving for many is what truly kicks off the holiday season and is one of my favorite holidays. Each year, I enjoy the time I have getting ready, in particular, choosing the makeup I will wear. Here are some ideas for ways for your Thanksgiving makeup look this year.

  • Dark Lipstick: Whether it be a red, a berry or even a dark nude color, dark lipstick can transform your makeup look, add dimension to your face, and draw attention to your lips. Matte formulas are always great for fall and the right one won’t come off while you’re eating Thanksgiving dinner.
  • Brown eyeliner: This is one of my favorite things to add to a special occasion makeup look, always on the tight-line but sometimes across the lash-line as well. It ass dimension to your eyes and helps make your lashes look more voluminous while not being as harsh as the typical black eyeliner might be.
  • Champagne-Colored Highlighter: Highlighter is my favorite step in my makeup routine. I’ve found a champagne color is perfect to go with any makeup look and works well with many skin tones. Adding a highlight to your cheekbones, high points of your face, and sometimes even using it on your eyelids pulls together your look is perfect for the holidays.
  • Setting Spray: Doing your makeup is always fun, but the real test is whether it will last the duration of Thanksgiving or not. A good setting spray is essential for everyday, but especially on holidays. Using a setting spray at the end of your makeup routine will lock in all the products you use and give them a more natural look.
