Ten Valentine’s Day Movies You Can Watch on Netflix

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

Whether you’re planning a Galentine’s Day movie night—or are expecting some Netflix and chill on the evening of Valentine’s Day—these ten movies, all of which you can find on Netflix, are sure to remind you that love is in the air.

10 Things I Hate about You

The classic, feel-good rom-com—featuring a young Heath Ledger serenading Julia Stiles while dancing on the high school bleachers. Enough said.

Adventureland

A coming of age movie about love and amusement parks. Plus, it has a pre-Twilight Kristin Stewart (and don’t worry, Twilight is not on this list).

Shakespeare in Love

Winner of seven Oscars, this one will give you the chance to see the historical romance of the man himself, William Shakespeare.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

In this timeless classic, Audrey Hepburn plays the iconic dreamer Holly Golightly, who finds love unexpectedly.

Moonrise Kingdom

It’s about two kids running away to be together, casting the whole town on a wild search for them. It may not be the typical romance movie, but Wes Anderson’s quirky touch gives it undeniable charm.

The Princess Bride

Not only is The Princes Bride a romantic classic that all should see—but it also has action, comedy, and suspense. Simply inconceivable!

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

We simply have to include another rom-com, because cheesy as it may be, it’s also a super cute movie with its share of notable moments.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

This movie actually takes place in the mind of the lead character Joel (Jim Carrey), dealing with themes of love and loss in relationships. If you’re up for a movie that will leave you thinking about it for weeks, this is it.

Love Actually

Some may consider this one a Christmas movie, but there is nothing more romantic than seeing people fall in love during the holidays—even if it does involve creepily declaring your love for your best friend’s wife.

Titanic

Of course, we have to end it off with a classic tearjerker that pulls on your heartstrings every time. Definitely recommended if you want to sob this Valentine’s Day.
