1. The Plot

The show revolves around Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), a seemingly innocent socialite who moves into the Hampton beach house next to the wealthy and powerful Grayson family, headed by Victoria and Conrad Grayson. Little does anyone know that her real identity is Amanda Clarke, the daughter of a man wrongfully accused and sent to prison for an act committed by the Graysons. As Emily navigates the upper class society with her sights set on getting revenge on everyone who ruined her childhood and betrayed her father, she finds her resolve is tested and that the deeper she goes, the more danger she is in.

2. Emily Thorne

Emily Thorne is one of the most kicka** leads on TV today. Totally committed to her mission, she does all she can to get justice for the wrongs committed against her father. Fiercely driven, intelligent, and beautiful, Emily is definitely someone I wouldn’t want to cross.

3. The Boys

Emily Thorne comes into contact with several of Hampton’s finest men while enacting her plan. There’s Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman), the son of the people who betrayed her father – charming and innocent, Daniel is used as a pawn by Emily in her plans to seek revenge, but the closer she gets to him the more she second guesses her decisions. There’s also the character of Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann), the billionaire nerd who is Emily’s trusted friend and ally in her plot for revenge. With a knack for hacking into software and a severe disliking of all things Grayson, Nolan is a great partner for Emily to have in her scheming. Then there’s Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler), Emily’s childhood best friend and sweetheart. Jack still holds a torch for the best friend that was taken away from him when he was a young boy, which makes it harder for Emily when she returns into his life – he doesn’t recognize her anymore, and she can’t tell him of her real identity for fear of ruining her plans.

4. The Action

The show is filled with action and adventure – the first scene of the series, which depicts the shooting of a man at an engagement party, is proof of that. From blackmail to shotguns, explosions to murder, nothing is safe in the Hamptons anymore. As the plot thickens the stakes rise, and no one is safe.

5. The Romance

Emily’s plan to enter the lives of the Grayson family is through their son, Daniel. As she gets closer to Daniel the viewer starts to wonder if her affections toward the handsome son are purely an act or if she is starting to fall for him. Then there’s the question of Jack Porter – Emily’s feelings toward her best friend from childhood are obviously more than platonic, but will she act on them or will her mission for revenge get in the way?

The third season of Revenge is currently airing on ABC.
