Stephanie’s Pinterest Picks of the Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

Happy Monday, collegiettes! This week’s Pinterest Picks are all about revamping your style and your snacks, with a little procrastination tool thrown in. Have a great idea to add to this list of 5? Leave me a comment below!

First up this week are 4 Ways to Turn Pants Into Shorts. This pin comes from MadebyRoo and gives step-by-step instructions for how to turn your old jeans into new shorts! I’ve tried to do this in the past without a guide and I ended up ruining a pair of pants and creating completely unwearable shorts in the process. I am excited to try my hand at cutoffs again—this time with a little help!

This next pin can be dangerous if you love to procrastinate. Once I found Disney Hidden Secrets Tumblr it was goodbye studying and hello Alice in Wonderland. This Tumblr shares inside information and production secrets about 20 classic Disney Movies. Which movie is your favorite, collegiettes?

With spring break on my mind (hey, it’s only two weeks away!) I found this pin that will forever change my beach style. The Glam Camping Company makes beach towel clips that anchor your beach towed so it doesn’t blow over and get covered in sand while you are taking a dip in the ocean. Although this company is from England, they do ship overseas. However, you can also find an assortment on Amazon

This next pin is for any mac and cheese lover. Peas and Crayons shares a recipe for Confetti Mac and Cheese, a delicious twist on the cheesy goodness that is quick, easy, and only requires one pot!  The addition of veggies to your mac gives the old recipe a healthy makeover, but don’t fret—it still tastes amazing and you can make it any way you want! Jenn makes her own cheesy sauce from scratch, but she also says the recipe works great with our boxed favorites!

I love popcorn just as much as the next person, but I also like to mix up my movie snacks! Ali from Jam Hands shares her recipe for Pretzel Bites in 3 Flavors. I have avoided making pretzel bites myself because I didn’t want to slave over making the dough. However, Ali shares a great shortcut—she uses pre-made dinner rolls! After the rolls are baked, you can add any flavoring to make them special for movie night. I now can’t wait to make the cinnamon sugar bites!

I am a Bentley University senior majoring in Marketing with a LSM in Media, Arts and Society. I make gluten-free goodies all too frequently and my favorite place in the world is the top of a mountain with my skiis on. I have an addiction to chocolate, Alice in Wonderland and laughing with my roommates.
