Kylie Jenner is head of the 90s come-back and is taking the fashion world by storm. Her most famous trend that is becoming a fan favorite is her mauve lip! In this article I’ll teach you how to achieve this look at home!

Step 1: Prep

When wearing a matte lip, you first want to make sure your lips are moisturized so your lip color does not settle in to cracks of your lips. Apply your favorite lip balm and let that set on your lips for a couple minutes. Step 2: Apply Lip Liner

Then lightly color in the rest of your lips to give your lipstick a base. Kylie is rumored to use Mac’s Whirl lip liner in Whirl, but a cheaper option if you’re on a budget is Revlon’s lip liner in Nude. It’s almost an exact duplicate for Whirl, but a heck of a lot cheaper!

Step 3: Fill

Pick your favorite mauve-nude lipstick and fill in your lips and make sure to blend in your lip liner so you do not end up with a harsh definite line around your lips. Kylie has been said to use Mac’s Velvet Teddy, but a couple of cheaper options are Revlon’s Mauve it Over and Wet N’ Wild Bare it All. Mauve it Over is perfect if you are looking for a lip color with a pink undertone and Bare it All is better for the girl looking for a brown undertone.
