With the semester winding down, life is full of studying for your finals, moving out of your dorm, and spending some last few weekends with your friends. But we can’t forget what the end of the spring semester means for Bentley students – Spring Day. For those who don’t know, Spring Day is an annual tradition where on the last weekend before finals, the Campus Activities Board organizes a day full of free food and games, including a concert for all students. Spring Day 2022 was particularly special because it was Bentley’s first real Spring Day post-COVID, and it surely did not disappoint. Here’s Bentley University Spring Day 2022 in review!

Activities

This year’s activities were all on Upper Campus. They gave out free merchandise for the concert’s performers while also designing trendy, airbrushed trucker hats with anything you wanted written on them! They also had a caricature artist on campus drawing amazing portraits of students. For games, they had kiddie pools on the greenspace if you weren’t afraid to get wet, and they had fake axe throwing on Upper if you wanted to challenge your friends to a competition. One of the best activities they had to offer was a mechanical bull, resulting in a ton of laughs and great memories on Spring Day.

Food

Plenty of food was served throughout the week leading up to Spring Day. There were free food trucks on campus every day, serving whoopie pies, Korean BBQ, and more. On Spring Day itself, they served free breakfast at the 921 and free lunch and dinner under the Lacava tent all day. They also had Sparkling Brunch at Harry’s Pub, where 21+ students could sip on mimosas. Some of my favorite eats throughout the day were the pulled pork sandwiches, the walking nachos, and the breaded mac and cheese. It was the perfect way to refuel after the concert.

Diplo and Jack Harlow

This year’s concert headliners were Diplo and Jack Harlow – everyone was incredibly pleased by this. Diplo was perfect to get the crowd hyped with his house music. Everyone’s hands were in the air, bouncing to the beat. Then Jack Harlow came out in a Bentley hockey jersey which was the photo op of the century. He opened with “Nail Tech” and sang his biggest hits like “What’s Poppin,” ‘Industry Baby,” and “Tyler Herro.” He also got up close and comfortable with the crowd, coming down to the front row to take some pictures and pass out some high fives. He closed with his newest single, “First Class,” which was the perfect way to promote his new album coming out the following week and end Spring Day 2022.
