As we come back to campus for another semester as Bentley collegiettes, there is a lot of focus on all of the changes going on around campus. Our brand is different, the Bubble doesn’t exist(where can I keep all of my club’s stuff?!), and the printers were more than difficult to find in Back Bay, just to name a few.

We are all focusing on what is no longer on campus and the new things that are replacing them–we are finding that this start of semester feels like freshman year again (okay, maybe that’s too far but you get the hint…). Fall 2012 has presented us with many changes so I challenge you, Bentley collegiettes, to keep this trend going.

Fall 2012 is the perfect opportunity to make changes within ourselves as our beloved school already has on our campus. Here at Her Campus Bentley we’d like you to challenge you to become a healthier, happier, more successful collegiette this semester. Here’s some of our favorite tips:

Drink One More Bottle of Water A Day

Water is the single most important thing you can do for your body on a daily basis. Not only does it keep you hydrated (I get it Mom, I’ll drink water after practice…) but it also helps in more ways than just quenching your thirst. According to Health.com, water is one of the single most important factor’s to weight maintenance. Water clenches thirst, therefore making you feel less hungry. Water also is proven to keep your more focused, your hair shinier, and your skin clearer. Commit yourself to one more bottle a day and you’ll feel significantly better by the end of the week.

Create a Study Pattern
No, we are not saying go to the library for hours on end, but try to get your body into a set pattern when you know you will have free time (8 hours of sleep?!) and when you will be studying. If you can do this, you’ll be assured to spend enough time each week to do your homework, your friends will know when to not include you the group text, and you will become a more successful student.

Plan Dates with Your Roommates
Remember that free time we were talking about? No, we don’t mean going to John Brewer’s or Tempo every night. A date with the roommates can be as simple as all meeting at Seasons for dinner or going to the gym for an hour. You just need to plan some free time for yourself and your friends to get in some good laughing during your day. Just make sure that time is not during your studying (I say that as I hear my roommates laugh from the other room, obviously avoiding their homework). Your week won’t feel as long if you don’t procrastinate. Just make sure that you’re able to still enjoy your time.

Dress For Success

My mom has always told me, “Dress for where you want to be, not where you’re going”. With that being said, getting dressed in the morning is easier said than done but I promise you if you put the time into getting dressed in the morning you will feel more awake than if you had slept the extra 20 minutes and went to class in your yoga pants and Bentley hoodie. Getting dressed before class makes you feel more interactive which in turn helps you participate more in classes. On a side note: we are okay with you throwing on your MLB hat and trekking up the mountain for Friday 8:30s. Just remember, dress for success and you will receive.

We challenge you to become a better you this semester with these four tips to help you get started!
